Solar Screens are the answer for shading homes in Cedar Park
Solar window screens effectively cool your Cedar Park home while shielding you from the sun’s heat and harmful UV rays.
Our solar window screens cover every inch of your window and provide actual shade, rather than just a tint that still emits heat.
This image shows our recommended 90% solar screens for West-facing sides of homes or businesses. For windows facing the north, south, or east, 80% solar screen fabric is typically sufficient. However, if your windows receive four or more hours of direct sunlight, it is our recommendation to use the 90% solar screen shade fabric for added protection.

This customer installed our 90% solar screens on every window at the back of the home facing due west. The customer opted to install a solar screen on the patio door, which you can spot on the first floor behind the shrub, to the left of the bay windows. You'll notice that the door has a solar screen on it.
The solar screens appear a bit dark and dull. This particular photo isn't great because I took it with an older camera, resulting in poor picture quality. Most importantly, there was no sunlight when I captured this image. As you can see in the sky above the house, it's completely grey with no sun or blue visible. Additionally, there are no shadows on the ground, which is significant; shadows are always a good indicator of how sunlight will hit your home.
We offer custom solar screens for any size, shape, and style of window, with options for 80 percent or 90 percent fabric density and a variety of colors to coordinate with your home’s paint scheme.
In the picture below, you'll notice that there are arched windows, meaning they are not rectangular or square—none of the four sides are straight. To the far left, there is an arch above a rectangular window measuring 45 by 72 inches. Additionally, you’ll see a 45 by 30-inch tall arched window.
The solar screen we built for this arched window fits perfectly on top of it. The measurements, construction, and installation were all done impeccably. The solar screen seamlessly follows the metal edges of the window, just like we do for all of our arched designs. We take great pride in our work, especially when it comes to odd-shaped windows.
To the right of the patio are two tall full-height arches, measuring 96 inches in height and 35 inches in width.
As Master Craftsmen in solar screens, we ensure that our arches perfectly complement the arched window framing of your home. With over 5,000 installations in the Austin, Texas area, we have honed our skills in creating seamless designs.
Q&A: Should you install solar screens for the windows under a patio?
While I strongly advocate for screening all your windows uniformly, there are occasions when it may not be practical to do so.
On the front of your home, I would say that you never want to leave a window uncovered.
Sometimes we can aesthetically avoid shading all the windows on the back and sides of the home. It gets down to what you want the look to be like.
The homeowner left the windows on the back of the house uncovered. This includes the ground-level windows and the non-opening windows above them, which measure 45" x 20". Additionally, the back patio door is also uncovered. He left some windows uncovered by solar screens while screening the rest of the home's back-side windows. While I typically prefer to use solar screens on all windows, in this case, I have mixed feelings about it. Having the screens might have improved the appearance slightly, especially since the windows are under the patio. However, I’m unsure if the cost would justify that minor aesthetic benefit. Additionally, since these windows are recessed quite a bit, I don’t believe they will have issues with shade. Therefore, I’m okay with leaving these windows uncovered.
We’ll install solar screens on your home with a smile on our face, so that you can have a smile on yours. Learn more about our solar screens here by way of our Q&A page.
Roller Shades for Cedar Park Patios
Our custom roller shades, like solar screens, provide comfort by shading the sun’s rays.
Perfect for your patio, or outdoor space, our roller shades are maneuverable via a stainless steel pull chain so you can move them up or down throughout the day.
We Are An Austin TX Patio Roll Shade Manufacturer.
Exterior roller shades are roll-up shades designed for patios and screened-in porches. They are made to fit as shown in the following picture, positioned towards the exterior of the patio.
These types of exterior roller shades are not designed to extend all the way down to the floor. Our standard drop for these shades is 85 inches. However, for those who require a longer drop, we offer an option of 99 inches, subject to certain limitations. This longer drop is typically suitable for areas with ceiling heights of 10 feet.
The Roll Shades displayed here are 16 ft wide and made from the same brown chocolate 90% shade screen fabric used for the customer’s solar window screens. The roller Shades and the window screens are made from the same fabric.
Because we manufacture these, we have this ability. To see more pictures of our exterior roller shades, please visit this section on our website.
We will assist you in determining the appropriate length, installation location, density, and color of your roller shade.
