Solar Window Screens Designed for Homes in Bee Cave

Our solar window screens are top-notch. They are custom-fitted to match the shape and size of your window, whether it's rectangular, circular, arched, or any other shape.

The solar screens in the picture are all made of our 80% fabric, with white frames. These solar window screens for this home are made of black 80% fabric and white frames.

When looking at these pictures, it's evident that the 80% fabric allows some visibility through it, revealing the wood shutters inside the windows. This demonstrates the transparency of the 80% fabric.

80% Black fabric solar window shade screens

Unlike window tinting, which only provides shade for the rays inside the home, our Bee Cave, TX solar window screens actually provide shade for the glass and window to reduce heat from transferring in.

Here's an example of how we used the chocolate 80% solar window screen fabric with tan framing. In this example, we have the chocolate fabric and tan frame solar screen installed on white window frames. We opted for the tan frame solar screen because the tan color complements the bricks of this home. It's in the same color family as the bricks, creating a cohesive look.

We are frequently asked, "What does it look like when you use tan framing on top of white window framing, with some of that white window framing still showing?" This picture is a great example of this. It’s a perfect illustration to show exactly what the tan framing and white window framing look like together. Take a look at that beautifully molded arched window. Take a look at the arched solar screen that we made to perfectly follow the perimeter of this arched window.

In this picture, you'll see that we installed metal turn clips 30 inches from the bottom of the window on both the left and right sides of each screen. The screens were installed using the tracks that the windows have. We placed leaf springs at the top of each screen to hold them in the top track. The screens have smaller lips at the bottom, and to prevent them from coming out, we used center clips.

The likelihood of strong winds dislodging these well-installed screens is minimal.

Solar screens from the Austin TX Shade Team will help cool your home to keep your home cooler all summer long.

Outdoor Patio Roller Shades to compliment your Bee Cave solar window screen project

We custom manufacture, measure, and install each of our roller sun shades to fit your outdoor patio, door, or other space perfectly.

Our roller solar shades offer high quality at a low price, providing comfort to your patio, porch, or pool area.

As the manufacturer and installer of our own custom patio shades, we offer unbeatable pricing to you.

Here’s a picture below that shows two 11 ft wide exterior patio roll down shades. These are not roll up or roll down awnings, but rather roll up and roll down shades. We made these shades using our 90% solar screen fabric. When I installed these roll down shades, I positioned the clutches so they were back to back meeting in the middle over that post. This allows the resident to roll the shades up and down while standing in one position, eliminating the need to go to the left or right side of the shades to lower or raise them. Additionally, by installing the chains over that post, the resident won't have to pull the chain up and down against the brick wall, which could rough up their knuckles. Placing the chains in the middle makes it easy for the resident to lower and raise these roller shades.

When you look at this picture of one of our patio roll shade installations, you can see a clear illustration of the contrast between 90% shade and 0% shade. Against the brick wall, the area shaded by our 90% solar screen fabric is indicated in red as "90% shade." The unshaded area, where there is 0% shade, is receiving direct sunlight. The difference between 90% shade and 0% shade is significant.  With all that being said, we now, as of 2022, only use the 97% shade fabric. The 97% sun-shade fabric lends 7% more shading, which is significant.

I strongly encourage the use of a 97% shade fabric. The shade difference between 97% and 90% is significant.

The shades come with nine-inch ball bungee cords attached to the bottom left and bottom right corners. These bungee cords are used to secure the shades to hooks on the wall and the middle post. It's important to secure the shades because they have a large surface area and can be easily blown around by powerful winds. If not secured, they may knock over nearby items.

How our manual patio roll shades are held down. How they are tied down.
"Keep in mind that patio shades are not intended to be left down all the time". Manual shades like mine should be lowered when needed and raised when not in use. Mother Nature's wind is too powerful, and over time, it will cause the clutch to fail from constant pushing and pulling.

Please keep in mind the following information:

While these shades will be secured very well, they are not designed to withstand strong winds. No patio roller shades are contrary to what a sales-person may tell you. It is crucial to understand the force of the wind when it encounters a large surface area like this. Additionally, these shades are intended for temporary use, not for providing shade all day, every day, and they should not be left down all the time. Leaving the shades down overnight during a strong wind storm can lead to potential problems in the morning. It's important for people to recognize the power of the wind.

We will assist you in determining the best location to install your roller shades, the appropriate fabric density, and the ideal color to complement your home's exterior.
